What does it mean that the Spirit of the Lord is upon Jesus? It means that Jesus is designated by the Spirit to be the Messiah through visible displays of God’s power.

The miraculous works that Jesus did among the people, assert, indisputably that Jesus is the one that Israel was long anticipating. These works prove that Jesus is the Messiah and Savior of the world.
